Rubicon3's Oriole - Portsmouth to London Via France.
Last week I along with my good friend Luke, and 4 other people we'd never met before, along with Rubicon3 part owner Bruce Jacobs, and first mate Brian White - sailed Rubicon's newest edition "Oriole" a Bowman 57 from Portsmouth, to Cowes, To Brighton, To Boulogne, To Calais, To Ramsgate, To Queenborough and up to St Katherine's dock in central London.
It was a pretty good trip, even though the crew never quite gelled like our Hummingbird trip last year, it was still a really good laugh, had some very funny times, only one day of rough weather (Boulogne to Calais) and have to say - the final day of the trip up along the Thames was pretty spectacular, something I hope to repeat soon with Kathy and Sea Holly

The trip up the Thames, not only produced some good photo opportunities - we also crossed the Greenwich line from East to West, something I always like to photograph..
